Bill Self was one of the nation's most prominent and rich basketball coaches. He was born December 27, 1962, in Okmulgee. On December 11, 2023 Bill owns a fortune value of approximately $10 million. Bill was the director of the team at Kansas for 2013. He was the assistant coach for the young star Andrew Wiggins. Self, after rebuilding the Golden Eagles was hired by Tulsa. He spent three years there (1998 until 2000) which included Tulsa's most successful season of record of 74-27. Self guided the Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa to two NCAA Tournaments in 1999 and 2000. Self was born near Morris High School in Okmulgee. Self's father was the head coach for girls basketball at the school. A basketball scholarship was given to Self from Oklahoma State University. Through all four seasons that he played and earned him the basketball championship. He received a bachelor's degree in business from Oklahoma State in 1985. An MBA in Athletic Administration was awarded to him in 1989. Bill is one of the most successful Basketball Coaches from the United States.
